Lebanese Film Festival in Canada 2022
MONTREAL – The Lebanese Film Festival in Canada (LFFC) has started the countdown for its 6th edition in June 2022. This year’s festival will offer a dynamic program of screenings and previews, premieres, panels, and workshops from June 11 to 20 in Montreal and Ottawa, from September 23 to 25 in Vancouver, from October 28 to 31 in Toronto and from November 5 to 8 in Halifax.
The event in June will include 8 feature films, 2 documentaries, 30 short films, animation section, live streaming through the festival’s website and other platforms. Movie lovers will be able to meet with filmmakers, celebrity actors, and directors joining from Canada, America, Europe, and Lebanon. Most of the films screened will have Canadian or world premieres and will address important real-world themes and issues, including civil wars, immigration. LFFC’s Montréal chapter will be held at Concordia University and Cinema Guzzo from June 11 until June 16, 2022. The festival will include a Red-Carpet event, as well as eight film screenings.
LFFC’s Ottawa chapter will be held at Ottawa University on June 17, 2022, and Ottawa Art Gallery – 10 Daly Ave – Ottawa, ON, K1N 6E2, June 19 and 20, 2022. The festival will include a Red-Carpet event on June 19, as well as film screenings.
LFFC attracts more guests each year and is pleased to be back in person after the challenges of the pandemic. Since its founding in 2017, the festival has had filmmakers, distributors, actors, critics, and anyone interested in the film industry participate in bringing the Lebanese community together and helping the Lebanese film industry in its rebirth and revival.
Inspired by the Phoenician alphabets to communicate and connect, this year’s edition will create a more engaged, informed and connected world, bridging the distance between cultures.
