Planting a cedar tree as a gesture of appreciation for the role of Lebanese cinema that continues despite all difficulties

Canada was planted in the Shouf Reserve, in appreciation of this festival that has been running for 8 years and has been traveling to several Canadian states, and will now be visiting South America and Mexico in particular.
In the presence of Minister of Information Ziad Makary, Lebanon’s Ambassador to Canada Fadi Ziadeh, and the festival’s organizers, the cedar was planted as a gesture of appreciation for the role of Lebanese cinema that continues despite all the difficulties.

Before the Covid crisis, cinema used to produce 15 films annually, which decreased to 4 after the crisis, and the Lebanese Film Festival in Canada continues to spread these films around the world and build a cultural bridge between Canada and Lebanon in support of Lebanese cinema.

A number of actors, directors, and producers participated in the celebration, who got to know together the largest reserve in Lebanon, which was the slogan of the festival for the year 2024
